Terms of Service

SmilingPDF is a browser-based PDF toolkit provided free of charge for personal and commercial use. You may use it for any lawful purpose. Please do not attempt to disrupt the service, scrape it at abusive volumes, or reverse-engineer premium features.

You are responsible for the content of any file you process and for ensuring you have the rights to modify or convert it.

Optional premium features are billed through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account or by emailing us — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of purchase for unused subscriptions.

SmilingPDF is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. While we work hard to keep every tool accurate and reliable, we cannot guarantee the output for every possible input. Always verify important results before relying on them, and keep a backup of your original files.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SmilingPDF and its authors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the last twelve months, if any.

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page along with an updated “last updated” date. Continuing to use SmilingPDF after changes means you accept the updated terms.
